The update given in relation to New Street would appear to be entirely from the perspective of the anti-pedestrianisation campaign. It would be better if MCF were to maintain a balanced approach on this issue. As someone who supports pedestrianisation, I feel that it would be worth noting that many residents were happy with the pedestrianisation trial. I feel that the pedestrianisation of New Street enhances the village by providing a space free of traffic fumes, traffic noise and the risk of injury from traffic with room for pedestrians to stroll, to chat, to browse, to shop, to have coffee or lunch out of doors and is particularly of benefit to people with young children and those using wheelchairs.
