The Transportation Department of Fingal County Council is the agency responsible for construction and maintenance of roads, public road openings, suface-water drainage, traffic management including traffic light schemes, junction improvements and traffic signs, public lighting, road opening licences/footpath dishing to facilitate house-holders/private companies, road safety and school wardens within the Malahide area. Fingal County Council has recently made bye-laws setting out speed limits throughout Fingal, including Malahide. Copies of the bye-laws can be inspected in the Council Libraries or requested by e-mail from Fingal County Council Roads.
