The following update has been received from Fingal County Council:

An enabling works contract was completed in August 2017 by CTS Projects Ltd in respect of site hoarding, site investigations, temporary roof protection, ivy cutback and clearance of old furniture from the Casino cottage. An application for a disability access certificate was submitted August and a grant was received in October. An application was submitted in August for a fire safety certificate, a clarification process with the fire service including additional information is now completed and a final decision is imminent.

The procurement process for the main contract has commenced using a panel of heritage contractors from a new framework. Final tender documents will issue in first week December to allow an expected start on site in early February 2018. A construction duration of 11 months has been stipulated for completion in January 2019.
Tenders have been received for the design and construction of the Fry Model Railway exhibition incorporating working layouts and modern interactive interpretation and display. A clarification process is underway as part of the evaluation process and an appointment is expected in December 2017. The proposal includes for installation in January /February 2019 after completion of the main building works.
