Traffic Disruption from Tuesday 3 June to September re Malahide Interim Drainage Scheme

We have been advised by Fingal County Council as follows that planned works on the above scheme will cause traffic disruption:

Planned Works – Malahide Interim Drainage Scheme – June – September 2014
Fingal County Council wishes to notify residents of Church Road/The Hill Malahide that works will commence on the Malahide Interim Drainage Scheme on 03/06/2014. These works are required to upgrade the existing foul sewage and storm water infrastructure to ensure the long term sustainability of these systems. These works will be carried out in 2 phases;

Phase 1:  From Grove Road to Back Road junctions along The Hill commencing on 03/06/2014 and lasting for approximately 4-6 weeks. It is hoped that traffic disruption will be at a minimum.

Phase 2: This work is expected to commence in early July on Church Road between Grove Road and St. Margaret’s Avenue and this will last for approximately 8 weeks.  A one way system will be implemented for this phase, operating south bound along Church Road with a diversion in place from The Hill via Grove Road and The Mall, Malahide.

We will endeavour to keep all accesses open with only short periods of disruption where entrances will be crossed during these works. Traffic management will be localised and signposted in advance as far as possible. Disruption will be kept to a minimum where possible. Regular progress updates will be provided on the website.

Any inconvenience arising from this work is regretted but please be assured that the work is essential for the proper maintenance of these public facilities.

Fingal County Council thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.
