Water Disruption in parts of Malahide

We have been advised by Fingal County Council as follows:

Tuesday 4th February 2014  13.15

Malahide Area: Repairs are about to be undertaken to a leak in the Grove Road area of Malahide. Water supply will be disrupted from now until 3.30 pm approx. Areas affected: Grove Road and Lawn, Seapark, Biscayne and Robswall.

Because it is a larger diameter watermain a greater area is affected. Every effort will be made to have water restored in advance of the timeframe given.

Malahide Shuttle

We are sorry to report that the Malahide Shuttle service has been temporarily suspended, due to a very poor response.  Over the period of about 8 weeks from the launch of the service up to Christmas, only about 6 people on average used the service each day.  This is nowhere near adequate to sustain a commercial service.

Malahide Coaches is examining whether there is an alternative timetable which could be viable.  If you have ideas on this, please let us know via the Shuttle website www.malahideshuttle.ie

Should we continue the Malahide Guardian?

As you may know, our newsletter, The Malahide Guardian, is delivered to every household in Malahide.  We now want to research if there is a viable future for this publication and whether we should continue in print, have an online edition only, have a mixture of both or cease publication entirely.  Before we reach a decision we would like your views so we have designed an online survey.  We would therefore appreciate if you would take a couple of minutes to complete this survey, which can be accessed here.
