The Malahide Community Forum supports the development of the Broadmeadow Way – a 6km long shared pedestrian and cycling Greenway linking Malahide Demesne to Newbridge House in Donabate.
We have supported this development for many years and would not wish to see any delay in its delivery.
One of our residents’ associations (O’Hanlons Lane), brought to our attention safety concerns regarding the proposed routing of the greenway along O’Hanlons Lane, which include risks posed by the narrowness of the southern end of the lane. They previously raised these concerns with Fingal County Council during the 2014 consultation process.
The Malahide Community Forum made a submission to An Bord Pleanála regarding the Broadmeadow Way and OHanlons Lane on 23 July 2019, outlining our support for the development but our concern regarding safety issues on O’Hanlon’s lane. The Forum’s submission included an alternative route for consideration its submission.
Due to technical, safety and operational issues, the Casino Model Railway Museum in Malahide will not open in December. Here’s the link to the note on Fingalcoco website:

The opening date will be posted on the Casino Model Railway Museum website
